MEET JERRY STARR

Jerry began his association with the Lake Toxaway Company in August of 1987 when lake lots were less than $70,000 and everyone was saying, "I should have been here 10 years ago." They are saying the same thing today. He got his brokers license in 1979 and worked for numerous developers in sales and management. He was VP of Resort Operations with Fairfield Communities, Site Manager of Alpine Bay Resort in Alabama and Sales Manager at Hilton Head Development at Shipyard Plantation. He has worked in sales in Alabama, North Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and several areas in North Carolina. He holds a broker�s license in three states. With a total of twenty-eight years in real estate, the last twenty have been spent at the most beautiful place in North Carolina, Lake Toxaway. He was born in Tennessee and raised on a family farm in a two story log home much like the book "Cold Mountain." The farm has been in the family for 100 years and he manages the cattle and hay operations today. He attended the University of Tennessee for his degree in management and East Tennessee State University for his MBA. He served in the USAF as a navigator on a B-66 and spent ten years as a manufacturing engineer for several large corporations.
